About a month ago James Gandolfini passed away. According to preliminary reports, he died from a heart attack in Italy. The actor was just 51 years old.

The Sopranos
This is the only TV series in our list. But it was this TV show that made Gandolfini a real star. The actor has played a contemporary Godfather – Tony Soprano, who was trying to manage the affairs of the mafia clan and the problems in his own family.
True Romance
The main characters, played by Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette, spent the night together. The next morning, the girl admitted that she was working as a call girl. Having fallen in love with her, the young man immediately went to her pimp and… killed him and his bodyguard. Then, instead of the things of his beloved, he grabbed a bag with drugs. Of course, the couple was persecuted immediately.
Get Shorty
Barry Sonnenfeld’s film with John Travolta and Danny DeVito starring in it, tells about gangster Chili Palmer, who decided to make a film, using his personal experience to create the story.
12 Angry Men
The film is one of the famous film adaptations of the play by Reginald Rose. According to the plot, a young man was accused of killing his own father, so he could face a death penalty. His fate had to be decided by the 12 jurors. In the beginning of the meeting, almost everyone was inclined to believe that the defendant was guilty, but then his opinion made everyone hesitate.
8 MM
The movie is directed by Joel Schumacher. The story is as follows. A private detective gets the film with a brutal murder of a young woman. He is given the task to find out, whether it is a crime, and if so, who committed it. Thus, the detective unwittingly becomes a part of a cruel scenario, where he plays the role of a victim. Nicolas Cage and Joaquin Phoenix also starred in the movie.
The Man Who Wasn’t There
This film, directed by the Coen Brothers, takes us back to the California of 1949. Barber Ed Crane (Billy Bob Thornton) makes haircuts for his clients in the salon, while his wife has an affair with her boss Big Dave (James Gandolfini). Suddenly, Ed has an opportunity to start his own business, but he lacks the money. To find it, he begins to blackmail his wife’s lover. However, he soon realizes that he has put his life in danger by doing so.
The Last Castle
The leading roles were played by Robert Redford and James Gandolfini. Robert starred as the general, who had served the fatherland truthfully, but having made only one mistake, he got imprisoned. There he made a shocking discovery – someone was killing the prisoners. It turned out that commandant of the prison was involved in the crimes. The general had nothing to do but to start a rebellion.
Lonely Hearts
This motion picture is based on a true story. James Gandolfini was accompanied by John Travolta again, while other main roles were played by Jared Leto and Salma Hayek. The film tells the story of two detectives in pursuit of the murderers, who were known by the “Lonely Hearts” nickname as they assassinated only lonely widows.
Romance & Cigarettes
Nick Murder (played by Gandolfini) is a worker, who builds and renovates bridges. He is happily married, but once he has an affair with another woman. It is only the tragic twist of fate that makes Nick realize how much pain he brought to his family. Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet, Steve Buscemi and Christopher Walken also starred in this movie, directed by John Turturro.
All the Kings Men
The main character, journalist Jack Burden (Jude Law), is influenced by the charm of populist politician Willie Stark (Sean Penn). Stark becomes a real idol, but as Burden communicates with the politician, he realizes that the latter is far from being ideal.
