Breaking Bad Final Episode Beats All Rating Records

A worthy conclusion to the now legendary criminal saga about Walter White and Jesse Pinkman – the final episode of Breaking Bad broke the record gathering 10.8 million viewers at the screens. For comparison – the first episode of the new season of Homeland TV series, which came out the same day, was watched by 1.9 million people.

The story of a cancer patient chemistry teacher and his negligent former student, who decided to make meth together, lasted five seasons, the last of which was divided into two parts (seeing the breathtaking ratings, the AMC channel decided to do the same trick with the Mad Men TV series).

During this time, Breaking Bad earned ten Emmy awards, (the three of which went to Bryan Cranston and two more – to Aaron Paul), nine Saturn awards and dozens of awards from various guilds and television critics associations. The TV drama has been listed in all possible lists of the best TV series and entered the 2014 Guinness Book of Records as “the most popular series among the critics”, and Stephen King called its script the best ever sold on television.

We recall that not so long ago, the producers announced the creation of a spin-off TV drama – Better call Saul!, with Saul Goodman, Walter White’s lawyer in the Breaking Bad TV series, as the main character.
