The trailer of the psychological thriller Enemy, directed by Denis Villeneuve, has appeared in the network. The cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Melanie Laurent, Isabella Rossellini, Jane Moffat, and other stars.
The script of the movie was based on The Double novel by Jose Saramago, written in 2002. The plot tells about a teacher, Adam Bell, who lives with his girlfriend Mary. One day he decides to watch a movie and notices that one of the actors named Anthony Saint Clair looks like an exact copy of him.
Bell has an inexplicable urge to hunt down the twin. When they meet, their fates get intertwined very closely.
It is the second time Gyllenhaal collaborates with director Villeneuve: in 2013, the dramatic Prisoners movie was shown on the screens with such stars as Jake, Hugh Jackman and other actors.
Jake has played both characters.
The Enemy movie will appear in the US on March 14, and it will be a limited release. Now it is being shown on various independent film festivals in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands.
