Woody Allen has taken his new movie drama “Blue Jasmine” featuring Cate Blanchett in the title role to France.
It is worth saying that this movie has become the most commercially successful of all the previous projects of the 77-year-old director: during the first days of demonstration in cinemas, the movie collected more than 612 thousand dollars, even though it was shown only in six theaters in New York and Los Angeles. Critics also have a very friendly attitude to “Blue Jasmine” and even predict that the movie will be nominated for “Oscar”.
The plot of the film is as follows: the main character Jasmine used to be a successful New Yorker, but lost all her fortune and was forced to move to her sister in San Francisco. In her relative’s small apartment, she is surrounded by strangers, so she tries to figure out what she really needs and start a new life.
